2.Rankala Lake:

Rankala is famous place to visit in Kolhapur. This lake was constructed by Chhatrapati of Kolhapur. There is temple of Rank Bhairav, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva at the center of the lake. The name rankala to the lake is also derived from this god. There are two ghats for the lake, one Rajghat and other Marath Ghat. Other major attractions situated near the Rankala Lake are Sandhya Math, Shalini Palace, Padmaraje Garden, etc. The lake area is very large. There is Choupati around the lake. The 'Choupati' is beautified by Gardens. There are several coconut trees in ' Shalini Palace' garden. The 'Vada Pav' over here is famous in Kolhapur.

3.Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum(New Palace):

Museum called Shahaji Chhatrapati Museum at New Palace. great historic building constructed in the late 18th century, commonly called as new palace museum which is located in bhavani mandap, kasaba bavda road kolhapur. This is an awesome place to visit. Curious and interesting collections from the possessions of Maharaja Shahaji Chhatrapati like guns, trophies and clothes are preserved here.

4. Jyotiba Temple:

This temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. This is also called Kedarnath and Wadi Ratnagiri. It is situated at 17 kms away from Kolhapur at the height of 3100 mtrs. It is known as “Dakkahancha Raja”. Every year on Chaitra Shuddha 11 th i.e. on the occasion of “Ekadasi” thousands of devotees gather on Jotiba hill. They celebrate their joy of visiting god Jyotiba by dancing with the huge sticks known as “Sasan Kathi”. Jyotiba is formed from the souls of three Primary Gods like Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

5.Temblai Temple:

Temblai hill is a famous spot in Kolhapur. There is a temple of Goddess "Renuka Devi" and other small temple on this Hill. During Navratra Utsav procession of "Mahalaxmi" is carried from Ambabai Temple to Temblai Temple. It is said that Goddess "Renuka Devi" and "Mahalaxmi" are sisters. During the war against devils "Renuka Devi" help "Mahalaxmi" but after the victory "Mahalaxmi" didn't gave the due respect which made "Renuka Devi" angry and thus She came and settled at Temblai Hill. An interesting fact related to this story is that the Idol of "Mahalaxmi" faces West whereas that of "Renuka Devi" faces east.

6.Bhavani Mandap:

Bhavani Mandap is the glory of the city. Being the biggest and oldest building. Bhavani Mandap has historical importance. Bhavani Mandap there is temple of Goddess Tulja Bhavani. According to Hindu Mythology Tulja Bhavani is younger sister of Goddess Mahalaxmi, the place was constructed when she came to her elder sister as guest.

Panhala lies on the Sahyadri Mountain Range and is situated in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra. It is about 22 km to the northwest of Kolhapur on the Kolhapur-Ratnagiri road.
